About the role

Merapar by alfa1 is a European, Cloud based services business that provides innovative, complete solutions.

Currently, we are looking to expand our energetic and highly knowledgeable team in Gdańsk to deliver a genuine value to our clients.

As a Frontend Developer at Merapar by alfa1 you will build complex, secure and scalable cloud-based solutions, share knowledge and find new ways to solve problems together with your skilled and motivated team. You will work with new and exciting technologies on a daily basis and use steadfast, new hardware.

At Merapar by alfa1, you will be a part of exciting projects for our clients - leaders in Broadcast, IoT and Automotive fields, creating high quality software for set top boxes, TV back office platforms and smart thermostats. You will work closely with our great clients, always having a close, hands-on contact with the technical side of Developer’s work.

Every now and then, you will travel to our headquarters in Veldhoven or to our colleagues from United Kingdom, to work side by side with them.

You will hit the ground running and think on your feet!


You will:

  • Design and implement new features using AWS.

  • Take care of setting up cloud infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for quality assurance, documentation and problem analysis.
  • Correct execution of functional and non-functional test cases/test procedures (including understanding of test purpose, correlation of test results).

About You


  • You have a degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of relevant work experience in this area.

  • You bring experience in Cloud Computing (Amazon AWS) competencies.
  • You have an experience in at least one of those programming languages: Java, Python, TypeScript / JavaScript.
  • You have developed APIs in the past.
  • You are used to an agile development environment.
  • You are open-minded and curious about new technologies.
  • You are able to propose improvement suggestions and identify and solve problems.
  • speak English on at least a B2 level of proficiency.


Additional bonus points for:

  • a lot of cloud experience.
  • wanting to share your knowledge with your colleagues and on the events organised by us, e.g. during meet-ups.
